In a future where controlling data is the source of political and economic power, concentrating everyone’s data in massive data centers only concentrates power in the hands of those who operate those data centers. Not to mention that those DCs become military and terror targets. I might be wrong, but I dont think tapes can survive a 500lb laser-guided bomb. Sorry, but the world isn’t ready for the cloud yet.
